Supplement Recommendations:
Our HPV Immune Support, available in easy to use a.m. and p.m. packets contain the following nutrients:
1. DIM (200mg): DIM is a compound found in cruciferous vegetables that has a direct effect on how estrogen is metabolized. DIM works in the liver by activating detoxification pathways that reduce estrogen metabolites that can lead to the development of several types of cancer, and increase levels of less problematic estrogens. The DIM we use has superior absorption to other forms as it is emulsified with lecithin and rice bran oil which helps it pass easily through the gut wall.
2. Co Q 10 (200mg): Women with cervical cancer have lower levels of CO Q 10 in blood and cervical cells than healthy women. Co Q 10 enables the body to make energy needed to mount a vigorous immune response. This Co Q 10 uses a patented delivery system that allows the nutrient to form tiny fluid droplets resulting in easier absorption and increased bioavailability.
3. EGCg(1000mg): Epigallocatechingallate, the active component of green tea, stops oxidative damage to healthy cells, reducing the risk of progression to cancer. Green tea has substantial evidence of inhibition of several types of cancer including liver, lung, skin and stomach cancer. This product contains no caffeine.
4. Ultimate Antiox: A wide variety of plant antioxidants that work synergistically, plus mixed carotenoids including 5mg of lycopene. Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that protects DNA from damage by singlet oxygen free radicals. Elevated dietary and circulating levels of lycopene impede the progression of HPV infection to cervical neoplasia. Women with the highest serum cis-lycopene concentrations had a 56% decrease in HPV persistence risk, compared to women with the lowest levels.
5. L-5-MTHF: is the active of form folic acid that requires no conversion by the liver so that it can be immediately used. Low folate is associated with the prevalence of HPV infection and significantly increases the risk of developing pre-cancerous changes of the cervix. Active folate assists in the proper regulation of gene expression and DNA repair.
